Menu Plan Monday - July 28th

Good morning y'all! I feel like I'm going slow this morning still trying to get back into the groove of things. Still recovering a bit from all the triple coupon fun at Harris Teeter last week. I saved $97 and got lots of freebies!

Here's this week's menu. You'll see some repeats from last week as the sales were only so-so. We did try quinoa for the first time last night! It's suppose to be a really good source of protein. It was good! I can't wait to try it in more dishes. Ashleigh & Clayton weren't too fond of it, but Reedy loved it! He's such a good eater. Makes a Momma smile to see her baby eating spinach and other healthy foods. Here's hoping it lasts into toddlerhood LOL!

First of all, you crack me up with the coupons, I too have a love affair with coupons. I was almost giddy with joy when I saw Ingles was doing triple coupons this week. I have never seen that before, not to mention the $1.98 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts this week. We're eating chicken this week fer sure.

Second, thank you so much for answering the nun question. I was always told they did rosary to receive forgiveness. I did not realize it was a meditation about the life & death of Christ. I knew there was something about it that captivated me. I also don't want to prove anybody wrong about anything. I am searching... always searching for truth. I like to know about different religions & denominations & why we all have such different rules. Especailly when so many of us are serving the same God. I am so happy to know what the nuns are doing now, I actually watch the Catholic channel a lot now, there is this one guy with a voice a lot like , oh I am blanking out on his name, he was the first 007 agent. I like to listen to him. It has been neat to watch it because I have so many questions about the catholic faith.... I used to be Baptist but changed to non denominational 7 years ago. Works for me. We all have to go where God leads us..... I just wanted to thank you for coming by & giving some good info. I will definitely check out the words to the rosary. I just love those nuns.

You're so very welcome! I'm not a Catholic scholar by any means, but if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer to them.

Speaking of watching religious programming on television, I've actually been watching the BYU (LDS) channel lately!
